With a background in biochemistry and applied mathematics, Corey is working on understanding the operating principles of molecular motors.  He'd like to understand what constraints and principles allow molecular machines to be efficient, processive, precise, and fast.  A member of Dr. Ken Dill's group, Corey works on a collaborative project between the LCNeuro/Dill labs, using statistical physics to model fMRI, DTI, and PET data, in order to understand the principles by which the brain responds to changing energy constraints, with applications to brain aging.
