Noor Adra.jpg

Noor recently completed her major in Neuroscience and minor in English at Wellesley College. She is interested in the intersection between computational neuroscience and medicine and its potential to characterize sleep and memory disorders.

Before coming to Stony Brook, Noor worked at the A.A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging where she investigated sensory processing in adults with ADHD. She also examined emotional perception and regulation in recovering alcoholics and non-alcoholics at the Oscar-Berman Laboratory (US Department of Veterans Affairs), and assessed imaging markers of cerebellar progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy at the Laboratory for Neuroanatomy and Cerebellar Neurobiology in Massachusetts General Hospital.

At LCNeuro, Noor uses her biomedical imaging background to coordinate LCNeuro's fMRI and MR/S-PET studies at the Martinos Center, with the aim of understanding the brain’s response to metabolic constraints and how this process changes with age.
